WebInspector

To use the WebInspector the following URL can be accessed from a development PC via Browser.

http://<ip address of STB>:9222

Remote Debugging Protocol

The remote debugging capability of the solidBrowser can be used by follow the steps below. It is recommended to use a Chrome/Chromium - Browser on the developer PC.

  • 1. Access DevTools settings
    access the DevTools settings in the Chrome browser on the developer PC with url chrome://inspect

  • 2. Discover network targets
    check the option Discover network targets

  • 3. Add new target
    use the Configure button for Discover network targets and add :9222 in the Target discovery settings dialog

  • 4. check listed targets
    after a short period the STB ip address is listed as Remote Target and all to open tab of the solidBrowser are listed below

  • 5. Open tab
    the inspect link opens the developer tools for a specific tab on the solidBrowser
