Connection

with Serial

Warning

Before plug in the serial cable, the Box must be off.

  • 1. Plug-in serial cable
    Plug-in the serial cable and connect the setup box with your computer.

  • 2. Terminal configuration
    The configuration within the terminal program (Putty, Minicom, Serial, etc.) is as follows:

    Port:          COM5
Baud rate:     115200
Data:          8 bit
Parity:        None
Stop:          1 bit
Flow control:  None

  • 3. Start the connection
    After the configuration has been done the connection can be established.

    1. STB must be off
    2. Establish connection with the terminal software
    3. Power on the STB

  • 4. Check the connection
    To check whether the connection or serial communication between the host and STB works, the output (boot sequence) from the STB in the terminal window appears.
